Have you ever imagined alternate explanations of the physical world, other worlds and universes, or contemplated that size is relevant within the vastness of space? One day, while photographing a simple bubble floating on the water, I focused in closer and closer with my telephoto lens, marvelling at the unusual shapes, colours and reflections that one can see inside a bubble at that magnification. Suddenly something moved under the bubble and seemed to scoot quickly away - it could have been a tiny minnow or even a piece of leaf on a ripple of wind, but my vivid imagination startled me for a moment before I chuckled - did I just frighten a tiny alien being who lives on a bubble planet within another bubble planet within a bubble universe? (My mind does not need any altering substances to work in mysterious ways, perhaps it's the close relationship I maintain with my curious inner child.) :-)
I am an amateur and hobbyist when it comes to macrophotography but it's fun to look at nature close up, so many interesting things to see. These images were altered only with close-cropping and other common editing tools of contrast and light within the Photo app on my computer - no sophisticated AI or other alterations were made (in case that's not already obvious - ha). The soundtrack is an original imagining by my life and music parter Mike, it seemed appropriately eerie but interesting. I hope you enjoy a tiny taste of time traveling with some of my favourite bubbles.
