My first official post on my fresh new website and blog "Lake Life Lore". Thank you for visiting!
I hope you had a moment to look at the "Dock" page. That provides the background on my reasons and rhymes.
One of my original thoughts for creating this blog was to simply invite you to step away and enjoy a few peaceful moments on the water. This is the first in a series of take a break on the lake.
Rejuvenating, contemplative...there's just something about seeing or being near water that penetrates our senses and settles inside our soul.
One recent early April morning, I stepped outside on the porch to find a calm lake, painted with the reflections of puffy white clouds. Not a breath of wind, it was quiet and still except for the tapping of a woodpecker, chirps of robins and chickadees.
With only my elbows as a tripod, I filmed off and on throughout the morning. At one point, I heard some geese honking and they favoured me with a fly-by. Later, our mallard duck pair came by for a swim in the cove. If you look closely, you can see the clouds move slowly across the water.
Unlike many of my videos, there is no music in this one - just two minutes of sights and sounds provided by Mother Nature. We are truly blessed to live in such a place.
